Smithoddities is more than an oddities shop. It's a home for the things that don't fit in - the odd, the weird, the strange. I love it all and know what it is like to not fit in. It's a place where I can geek out and educate others in the process. I'm fascinated by the science of it and frequent post educational videos sharing weird facts with our followers.

My name is Dustin Smith
I'm the owner, founder and artist of Smithoddities. It may have gotten its start in 2019, but it kind of started when I was a kid. I grew up watching my grandfather in his diner, shooting shit with all of his customers, signing checks, and taking care of people in our community. That love for small businesses and my community is a huge part of Smithoddities and the Misfits Market Expo, and why I do what I do. Misfits Market Expo
Alongside my best friend, Jessica Yap, we created the Misfits Market Expo. A safe place to explore weird, cool, and unique items all made by small businesses and artists like ourselves. Oddities, tattoos, handcrafted art, reptiles, local food trucks, we have it all! Our first event was held in 2023, was one day and hosted 35 vendors. The overwhelming support from our community allowed us to triple in size and become a 2 day event with 96 vendors and again the community blew us away with over 7,000 in attendance, and over a half a million in small business sales. We’ve managed to build something special, a space where everyone is welcome, and will continue to grow this event year after year.
